Illinois Hit or Miss Tips

Illinois Hit or Miss ended on February 28, 2015

Illinois Hit or Miss is a 12/24 lotto game similar to the Texas All or Nothing game. Hit or Miss started in September 2013. This game has a unique prize structure since it awards an equal jackpot for choosing the correct half of the numbers as winners OR for picking none of the right numbers.

To play Illinois Hit or Miss, choose 12 numbers from 1-24. The Good Life Number, 1 through 5, is randomly generated and automatically printed on your ticket for no additional cost. Tickets are $2 each. Drawings are held four times a day.

The odds of winning Hit or Miss with 12 winning numbers or 0 winning numbers are 1 in 2,704,156. The odds of winning and matching the Good Life Number are one in 13,520,780 Illinois Lucky Day Lotto has better odds than Hit or Miss, but Hit or Miss is certainly a better choice than Mega Millions or Powerball. There is a $250,000 jackpot prize for matching all 12 winning numbers or for matching zero numbers. If you also have the winning Good Life Number, you win a The Good Life Number Prize of $100,000 a year for 20 years! The overall odds of winning a prize are one in 4.5. Win for matching 8 or more numbers or for matching 4 or less numbers.

Illinois Hit or Miss is a tough game to strategize for because it draws FOUR times a day. That means you have to be very quick. You will only have a few hours between drawings to update your lotto history, create the charts to pick the best numbers, and go buy your tickets! That doesn’t leave much time, but it is possible to improve the odds if you are ready!

Here are some valuable number selection tips for Illinois Hit or Miss from Gail Howard’s book, Lottery Master Guide, that should fatten your bank account. (Advantage Gold software makes all the number selection charts for this game.

Lottery Strategies to Help You Win Illinois Hit or Miss

Thirty-six percent of all the winning numbers drawn in Illinois Hit or Miss are numbers that won in the last drawing.

Since 50 percent of all Hit or Miss numbers are drawn each game and there are so few numbers to pick from, you don’t see many long skip periods between wins. When you see a number out more than about 8 drawings, by all means play it. Probability is on your side.

You should have a relatively equal mix of odd and even numbers. More than half of all the drawings have a relatively even spread of 5 Odd/7 Even, 6 Odd/6 Even or 7 Odd/5 Even. There has never been a drawing in Hit or Miss in which all Odd or all Even numbers occurred. The Odd/Even Bias Tracker ® in Advantage Gold tells you when you should play more Odd or more Even numbers.

In Hit or Miss, half your numbers should be chosen from the Low Numbers, 1 to 12, and the other half chosen from the High Numbers, 13 to 25. More than half of all the drawings have a relatively even spread of 7 Low/5 High, 6 Low/6 High, or 5 Low/7 High. There has never been a drawing in which all Low or all High numbers occurred. The Low/High Bias Tracker ® tells you whether you should play more Low or more High numbers the next drawing.

Lottery Pools and Lottery Syndicates

Several of the 109 Lotto jackpots won with Smart Luck lottery systems were won by groups of people who pooled their money. Sharing the ticket cost with others stretches your Lotto budget. By playing with a group, you can afford to buy more lottery tickets—and play larger wheeling systems—than you could (or should) by yourself. Draw up an agreement and have the members of your pool sign it.

How to Get Lucky in Lotto

When you form a Lotto pool, your group is also pooling its aggregate luck. A jackpot could happen because of the luck just one member brings to your pool. Select your partners carefully. Share your luck with winners, not losers. Avoid negative people; not only are they unlucky, but they dampen enthusiasm and drain energy from others. You want to enhance your own luck, not dilute its strength. One quick way to tell winners from losers is simply to ask them: “Do you think you are a lucky person?” Many people quickly admit, “I’m unlucky. I never win anything.” They won’t bring good luck to your group either.

No one should play games of chance out of desperation because they need the winnings. The needy have a greater fear of losing the hard-earned money they gamble with. It is just one of life’s dirty tricks that the very fear of losing blocks the winning forces. Thoughts are charged with energy, especially when triggered by emotion. Fear attracts exactly that which one fears. A strong desire for a goal that is charged with positive energy, attracts a positive response, especially when every effort is made to attain that goal.
