Cape Breton Island was the hot spot for Atlantic Lottery last week with a number of winners, including two $100,000 winning tickets.

On Sept. 8, $100,000 was won in Cape Breton County on the Lotto Max Tag (1-8-0-2-9-6).

Although not confirmed by Atlantic Lottery, the Cape Breton Post has learned the ticket was purchased at the Irving in Howie Centre and was won by a group of 10 individual employees from Citizenship Canada in Sydney.

Meanwhile, on Sept. 11, a $100,000 prize was won in Port Hawkesbury on the Lotto Max Tag (6-4-7-8-9-0). The winner or location the ticket was purchased were not available.

Those wins weren’t the only ones in Cape Breton during the week.

On Sept. 7, a $5,000 prize was won in Sydney on Keno Atlantic, the winner had nine of 10 numbers correct, one number short of the $250,000 top prize; on Sept. 8, a $1,000 prize was won in Cape Breton County on the Hit or Miss main draw, with the winner having 11 of 12 numbers correct, one number shy of the $250,000 grand prize; and on Sept. 11, a $1,000 prize was won in Glace Bay on the Hit or Miss main draw. The winners and locations the tickets were purchased were not available.
