Mega Millions Numbers For 10/18/19: Friday Jackpot is $71 Million

The Mega Millions jackpot for 10/18/19 is $71 million, and the drawing has been held Friday night. Here are the numbers.

First Five: 18-58-60-65-67

Tonight’s 10/18/19 jackpot is $71 million, with a cash-value option of $48.8 million. The total jackpot could have increased depending on the number of tickets sold around the country prior to the drawing.

The numbers on Tuesday (10/15/19) were: 04-12-14-35-70 with a Mega Ball of 02. The Megaplier was 2x.

There was no grand prize winner on Tuesday, nor were there any tickets sold that matched the first five white balls for the second-prize of $1 million.

There were nine tickets that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball for the $10,000 third prize. One of those purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1 for third-prize winnings of $20,000.

The last Mega Millions grand prize winner was for $227 million on 09/24/19with a ticket purchased in the city of Cedar Park, Texas—a suburb north of Austin. In addition to the grand prize winner, there was a second-prize ticket sold in Florida that matched the first five white balls—and missed the Mage Ball—but purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1 to earn winnings of $4 million.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery every Tuesday and Friday night, and it is one of America’s two biggest lottery jackpot games. Mega Millions jackpots start at $40 million, and other prizes pay from $1 million to $2 million or more with a Megaplier. Tickets are $2 per line, and odds of winning with a $2 Mega Millions ticket are one in 303 million. For more information on Mega Millions, or to check your past numbers, visit its website.

Powerball is the other multi-state lottery, and it also starts at $40 million. Its drawings take place shortly after 11 p.m. ET on Wednesday and Saturday nights. Here is the Powerball website.

The previous Mega Millions winning jackpot ticket was for the 07/23/19 drawing of $168 million. That ticket was sold at Brookside Market & Deli in Exeter, NH. This was New Hampshire’s first winning jackpot ticket for Mega Millions. The cash-value option for that ticket was $101.9 million.

The previous jackpot winner before that was for $522 million—the seventh-greatest Mega Millions jackpot ever. It was sold June 7, 2019, in San Diego, California, at Sorrento Deli Mart, which was set to collect a retailer bonus of $1 million for selling the winning ticket. That $1 million is from the California Lottery, and is not subtracted from the winner’s grand prize.

Winners in California have 180 days from the date of the drawing to redeem their ticket to claim their winnings.
