Young engaged couple from Perth claims division one Saturday Lotto prize

Young love just got a whole lot sweeter for an engaged Perth couple, who’ll start married life in style after a big Lotto win.

The pair, aged in their 20s, say they’ll “start married life right” thanks to their Saturday Lotto windfall.

Their Slikpik 25 from Nextra Harrisdale was one of four Saturday Lotto tickets that had all six winning numbers.

That ticket is now worth more than $511,000.

The bride-to-be said it may have been good vibes sent out by her mother that contributed to their big win.

“I called mum, she told me the other night that she was convinced one of us would win, so she’s happy now,” she said.

“This is a massive head start for us. We’re starting married life right.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said it had been a wonderful week for the state.

“This week alone we have welcomed another five WA division one winners for 2020,” Ms Coleman said.

That brings the state total for the year to 57.

“Thanks to our players and retailers we are continuing to raise vitals funds for the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund,” Ms Coleman said.

“This Fund is supporting organisations and people experiencing hardship due to COVID-19.”
